Love is the best revenge AH Bracken

Love is the Best Revenge is set in the small, fictional town of Somerzoy in Somerset and focuses on the relationship between a bike-loving car mechanic and a cynical and ambitious journalist.

Maria Clemenshaw doesn't want to date Tom Underwood, but when he writes an article criticising a beloved local celebrity author, who happens to be the daughter of the local Earl and Countess, she feels compelled to seek revenge. Tom is besotted at first sight, dazzled by her raven-haired beauty despite being covered in oil and dressed for lying under a car all day. But the sight of him makes Maria's skin crawl and spending time with him is as appealing as getting her nails done or wearing a dress.

As Tom's article gains momentum, Maria finds herself drawn to him despite every effort she makes to keep her distance. There is an easy familiarity, two broken souls drawn together in the strangest of ways. But a relationship forged in deception will never end well, and this one is no different. The only thing that can bring them together is the truth, but is either of them brave enough to open their eyes?

Love is the Best Revenge is a story of friendship and family, loyalty and betrayal, but, most of all, it’s a story of self-acceptance, and, of course, love.
